Dental standards part 5 and 6 - Checklist

The standards apply to all GDC registrants and therefore it is important that all team members registered with the GDC follow them. An effective complaints procedure must be in place, which every team member is aware about and understand how it works. The complaints procedure should be clear and easily understood by both patients and the practice team members. It is important to ensure that all staff know their roles and responsibilities and should only work within their own scope of practice. It is essential to ensure that anyone involved in the patient’s treatment and care should communicate with each other and the patient to effectively provide a better patient service.
