The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has produced new guidance on the long-term health effects of COVID-19. NICE is the independent organisation responsible for driving improvement and excellence in health and social care. NICE recommends that those who are concerned about new or ongoing symptoms four or more weeks after acute COVID‑19 should be offered an initial consultation by a healthcare practitioner, such as a GP.
